Swedish meatballs, known in Sweden as "Köttbullar", are a traditional dish made from seasoned ground meat shaped into small balls and often served with creamy gravy, potatoes, lingonberry jam, and pickled cucumbers.
Their origins date back to the early 18th century, when King Charles XII of Sweden is believed to have brought inspiration from Ottoman cuisine after his stay in the Ottoman Empire.
The handwritten notes are in Portuguese. An English version is also available.
Eggs Benedict is a classic breakfast and brunch dish made with toasted English muffins topped with ham or bacon, poached eggs, and creamy hollandaise sauce.
Strongly associated with New York City, Eggs Benedict is believed to have originated in the late 19th century, although several stories dispute its exact creation.
One popular legend credits a Wall Street broker named Lemuel Benedict, who allegedly requested the dish as a hangover cure at the famous Waldorf Astoria New York.
Lemon curd stands out for its balance of bright lemon acidity and rich, silky texture. Made by gently cooking lemon juice with eggs and butter, it becomes a smooth, glossy spread with a strong citrus flavour. It is especially popular in the United Kingdom, where it is commonly used in desserts, tarts, and as a topping for scones.
